I’m Chrissy and I have a passion for designing experiences that are intuitive, accessible, and delightful.

Cape Cod buoys

PRO TIP

You will never regret a bowl of clam chowder from The Silver Lounge in Falmouth, MA.

I grew up in a small retirement community on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where most of my entertainment came from making patterns out of Wingdings, teaching myself HTML, and talking to strangers on AOL. (We were a naive generation.) Luckily, I made it to middle school, where my love for utilizing code and systems to create fun experiences only blossomed with the advent of MySpace. A few web design classes and a stint on my high school’s Yearbook staff later, I found myself pursuing and earning a B.A. in Visual Communications from the University of California, Davis.

Since that time, I’ve worked in both product and marketing, in-house and agency, and Sacramento and Los Angeles, leading creative teams and designing web, mobile, print, and digital marketing assets to achieve and surpass my clients’ goals. I’ve found my sweet spot in UX, UI, and Product Design, where I can parlay my love for technology, systems, and inclusivity into experiences that bring joy and improve peoples’ lives.

Along with design, I love dancing, traveling, puzzles, true crime, spreadsheets, baking, bad movies, and good wine (often followed by the aforementioned dancing).

My Process

1. Empathize

I start with user and competitive research, collaborating with teams to define priority user types and personas.

2. Define

Once goals and opportunities have been identified, I create user flows and apply UX strategy to begin shaping ambiguity.

3. Ideate

From there, I create low-fidelity wireframes to establish informational hierarchy, followed by hi-fi visual and UI design.

4. Prototype

To communicate flows and interactions, I create detailed prototypes that will be used in usability testing.

5. Test

To validate design choices, I collaborate with teams to conduct usability testing, crafting a protocol to address top questions.

6. Let ‘em know!

I supplement these efforts and get the word out with my experience in branding, digital marketing, and front-end development!
